Hearthstone, located in the heart of Pella, Iowa, is a WesleyLife Community for Healthy Living seeking a compassionate Cook to support residents' daily meals. You will prepare hot and cold dishes, follow chef-approved recipes, and collaborate with our culinary leadership in a professional kitchen.
This role offers full-time and part-time schedules, scholarships and tuition support, wellness benefits, and paid training.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year cooking experience.
- Experience with quantity cooking and modified diet preferred.

- Create delicious meals daily using chef-approved recipes.
- Collaborate with Chefs and Food & Beverage Directors while gaining hands-on experience in a professional kitchen.
- Help craft meals that meet modified diet plans for residents.

As a Cook, you’ll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at Hearthstone in Pella.
- Create Delicious Meals: Prepare a variety of hot and cold dishes daily using chef-approved recipes that highlight your culinary skills.

- Support Specialized Diets: Help craft meals that meet modified diet plans, making a real difference in guests' health and satisfaction.
- Maintain High Standards: Monitor food quality, manage portions, and act quickly to ensure every plate meets our service excellence.
- Practice Smart & Clean Cooking: Follow proper sanitation and waste control practices, contributing to a safe, efficient, and sustainable kitchen.
