Job summary

Heritage House in Atlantic, IA is seeking a Homemaker Cook to prepare meals for residents, team members, and guests. The role includes floating between prepping meals, serving in the health center, and kitchen cleanup, while maintaining an appealing and healthy presentation of food.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of cooking experience, and English proficiency. Benefits are generous and teamwork is highly valued.

• Remain flexible during all working hours. This position will float between prepping meals, as well as serving in our health center and clean up
• Assure food is presented in a manner that is appealing as well as healthy
• Build meaningful relationships with our residents and staff
• Maintaining food safety and cleanliness of the health center and main kitchen
• Completes other duties and assists with special projects as assigned or requested

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalency required. Culinary education is preferred

• SERV Safe certification preferred
• Ability to speak, write and understand English language
• Attendance is an essential function

Available Shifts:

• Full Time 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
