Job summary

An assisted living community is seeking a Cook to assist in meal preparation and service. Candidates must have a ServSafe certificate and the ability to work well with others. Qualifications

• Maintains a current ServSafe certificate or participates in sanitation training.
• One year of job-related experience in food preparation.
• Ability to work in a safe environment.
• One year of job-related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets.
• Must be 16 years or older; in NC, must be 18 or older if operating power-driven machines.
• Three years' experience in healthcare, hospitality, or service environment preferred.
• Culinary arts experience preferred.
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred.

Hammond Square is seeking cooks to assist in the preparation, oversight, and serving of meals. Our cooks are responsible for delivering top-notch food service in a high-quality Assisted Living Community. The successful candidates will employ their culinary and managerial skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our residents' satisfaction.

Requirements

• Maintains a current ServSafe certificate (food service sanitation certificate) or able to participate in sanitation training to become certified
• High School diploma or GED accepted
• A culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred
• One (1) year of job-related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets
• Must be 16 years or older; in NC, must be 18 or older if operating power-driven machines
• Three years' experience in healthcare, hospitality, or service environment preferred
• Culinary arts experience preferred
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred
• Ability to work in a safe environment for residents without health or safety threats
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment
