Job summary

Navion Senior Solutions is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents, contributing to a welcoming dining experience. You will join a collaborative team on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), delivering high-quality service with attention to safety and presentation.

The role requires ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain it, plus relevant experience in food preparation and handling therapeutic diets. A supportive environment and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain it.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
• One year of food preparation experience with full-line menu items and therapeutic diets.
• Must be 16+; in NC, 18+ for power-driven machines.
• Three years of healthcare, hospitality or service experience preferred.
• Culinary arts experience preferred.
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and promote caring dining experiences.

• Maintains a current ServSafe certificate (food services sanitation certificate) or able to participate in the food services sanitation training to become ServSafe certified
• High School diploma or GED accepted
• A culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred
• One (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and therapeutic diets
• Must be 16 years or older. In NC, must be 18 years or older if operating power-driven machines such as a meat slicer, mixer, etc.
• Three years' experience in a healthcare, hospitality or service environment preferred
• Culinary arts experience preferred
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment
