The community you’ll be caring for:

  • Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando
  • Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America
  • Houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and cardiac catheterization labs in the country
  • Serves over 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients annually

Your role:

  • Contributes to the four vital areas necessary for AdventHealth's growth and success: World Class Service, Cost Effectiveness/Profit Extraction, Quality, Sanitation/Safety
  • Ensures all cold and hot food products are ordered, stored, produced, and served according to specifications and procedures
  • Maintains equipment safety and cleanliness
  • Demonstrates cost-conscious behaviors by preparing appropriate portion sizes based on projections
  • Adheres to sanitation and safety standards, monitors food and equipment temperatures
  • Monitors food appearance, holding times, and temperatures at serving areas
  • Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties as per guidelines
  • Serves patients and guests promptly and courteously, ensuring excellent customer service
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What You Will Need to Succeed:

Required:
  • People-oriented with a friendly, courteous disposition
  • Receptive to change, able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Self-motivated, professional appearance, positive attitude
  • Ability to observe, listen, and make decisions with high-quality standards
Preferred:
  • ServSafe or equivalent certification
  • Experience in “short-order” or fast food preparation

The Cook Grill actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all. Responsible for preparing food using various equipment, ensuring all products are ordered, stored, and served according to standards.
