How will you make a difference
The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during service.
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
- Bake, grill, steam, and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods
- Present, garnish, and arrange final dishes
- Occasionally serve food
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes.
- Handle and store ingredients and food
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Execute opening and closing procedures
- Set up workstations with the required ingredients and equipment
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients
- Monitor station inventory levels
- Be able to adapt to high-pressure situations and busy service periods.
Your Experience Matters What We’re Looking For
- Education/Experience: Must have at least two (2) years of experience in quantity cooking, a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and possession of a food service food handler’s permit as required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; and some prior kitchen supervisory experience is helpful.
- Additional Skills
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.
- Attention to detail in presentation, flavor, and consistency.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented kitchen.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for culinary arts.
- Additional Requirements: You may be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.

Compensation
This is a Full-Time, non-exempt role, and the expected compensation range is between $16.00 and $18.00/hr. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and we will consider experience and skill level. Join us as our Cook!
