Job summary

The Division of Youth Services in Colorado is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare meals, follow menus, and maintain food safety in a state youth facility. You will enter production data, set up service lines, and support sanitation, inventory, and safety policies.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of related kitchen experience; must be 21 or older and able to pass background checks. Work may include various shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed to feed clients.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.
• Relatable experience as a current or previous State of Colorado employee.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Properly prepares food that is attractive, appetizing, and of proper temperatures. Follows menus and recipes and enters data onto production worksheets.
• Ensures safety and sanitation, inventories knives/utensils, and follows safety practices to prevent accidents.
• Maintains sanitation procedures for handling food and cleaning the kitchen area; complies with relevant rules and regulations.
• Manages inventory: inspects, stores, and reports on food supplies; assists in monthly inventory counts.
