Job summary

Colorado Department of Human Services' Division of Youth Services seeks a dedicated Food Service Worker to perform fully-operational food production for the DYS Food Services Department. Shifts may run from early morning to evening, and staff may be asked to float to other facilities to ensure coverage.

Applicants must meet the stated qualifications and be prepared for shift work and extensive safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food attractively and serve it in proper quantities.
• Identify and report safety and security issues to supervisory staff.
• Follow proper sanitation procedures and maintain clean kitchen areas.
• Inspect and manage inventory and ensure FIFO usage.
• Attend required meetings and training to stay updated on procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including weekend/holiday shifts and overtime if needed.
