Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Cook at Southeastern Oklahoma State University to prepare and present a variety of hot and cold items for all meals and events. You’ll work in a fast-paced kitchen, maintain safety and sanitation, and support a collaborative team focused on quality and consistency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow basic recipes for soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts.
• Taste products, estimate needs, check production, and requisition supplies.
• Significant walking or mobility required.
• Walk/stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
