Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Production Cook to prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold items for meals and events at Southern Nazarene University. The role requires adherence to Sodexo culinary standards, safety, and cleanliness in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will work with a team to deliver high-quality dishes, maintain food safety, and support the dining experience. Open shifts and varying schedules are expected, with opportunities for growth within Sodexo.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for cooking and serving various foods.
• Estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to plan production and requisition supplies.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
