Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group is hiring for a line cook role in our California kitchen. You will prepare diverse menu items with speed and accuracy, work across Salad, Fry, Sauté, Grill and Make Up stations, and maintain equipment and cleanliness. A strong team approach ensures consistent quality and timely service.

Position is hourly and non-exempt, with tips eligible. Benefits include health insurance, paid sick leave, and a paid day off after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and work in hot/cold environments.
• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift and walk/stand for long periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping.
• Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and tech systems.
• California-required Responsible Beverage Service Certifications may be needed within training period.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble food items with speed and accuracy.
• Operate line cook stations: Salad, Fry, Sauté, Grill and Make Up.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper equipment functioning in the kitchen.
• Work as a team to achieve consistent food standards and timely delivery.
• Restock kitchen and line as needed.
• Uphold food safety, sanitation, and safety standards.
