Job summary

HMSHost is hiring a Cook in Fort Myers, FL. You will prepare cooked foods across Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs stations, following recipes and maintaining high quality service for guests and team members. This is a non-exempt role with standard kitchen shifts and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities include HACCP-compliant food safety, station sanitation, and accurate production planning while working in a fast-paced, high-volume casual dining environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience.
• Experience in high-volume casual dining environment preferred.
• Knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry and pantry concepts.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and prepare food items across Fry, Grill, Pantry and Eggs stations.
• Estimate food requirements and requisition supplies as needed.
• Clean and sanitize work stations and equipment.
• Maintain HACCP-compliant food safety practices.
• Operate kitchen equipment and manage ingredients.
• Stock, date, rotate, and check product temperatures.
