Job summary

Buona is seeking a Cook in Bolingbrook, IL to prepare food to high-quality standards and maintain a sanitary workspace. You will cook to order by following provided recipes and uphold Buona standards.

The role requires the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment and to stand for long periods while lifting up to 25 lbs. Benefits include paid time off, next day pay, tuition reimbursement, flexible scheduling, and more.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and positive attitude.
• Must be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must obtain Food Handler certificate.
• Must work to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn the following positions: Beef, Pizza, Broiler, Cafe/Salads & Prep.
• Follow recipes and food preparation processes properly such as cooking, seasoning, grilling, chopping, dicing, cutting and slicing.
• Maintain appropriate portion control and monitoring food levels on the line.
• Prepare quality food that meets our Buona standards.
• Ensure all food is being made properly before being handed out to guests.
• Restock food line.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Be speedy and accurate in fulfilling orders.
• Handle raw and finished waste according to established procedures.
• Act with a sense of urgency with all guests, whether dine-in, takeout, or drive-thru.
• Washing cookware and utensils and cleaning equipment as assigned.
• Cleaning and sanitizing as needed
• Other duties as assigned
