Job summary

The Blake at Bossier City is seeking a compassionate Cook to join our senior living community. You will prepare meals according to established menus, maintain high standards of food quality, and support a kitchen that emphasizes teamwork, safety, and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include stocking supplies, following dietary guidelines, and showing flexibility to work various shifts including holidays and weekends in a welcoming, therapeutic environment for residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; culinary education preferred.
• 2 years of related culinary experience desirable.
• Food safety, hygiene and kitchen teamwork emphasized.

Primary Responsibilities of the Cook:

Requirements

Education/Experience

• Must have a caring heart, willing to serve others High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Trade School/Associate/Bachelor's degree in culinary (preferred)
• 2 years of related culinary experience
• Self-motivation and creativity in culinary experience a plus
• Good knife skills and familiar with all cooking methods
• Experience with therapeutic/modified diets (preferred)
• Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including holiday and weekends
