Job summary

Currie Municipal Golf Course in Midland, MI, is offering a full-time Prep Cook/Dishwasher position. We are seeking a driven individual eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Under the guidance of our Executive Chef, you will assist in station prep, cook items per specifications, maintain sanitation, and support daily kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Average knowledge of industrial equipment including range, ovens, slicer, deep fryer and grill.
• 2-3 years line experience a must.
• Culinary degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks ordered items per Chef’s specifications during service.
• Assists in food preparation for assigned station (pantry, broiler/grill or sauté).
• Inspects kitchen stations, ensures sanitation and proper storage.
• Maintains portion control and plating presentation standards.
• Cleans and sanitizes workstation and equipment.
• Willing to perform additional duties as assigned.

Currie Municipal Golf Course, located in Midland, MI, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Prep Cook/Dishwasher! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

General Purpose:

Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guest consumption and guest enjoyment. Will work closely with our Executive Chef to develop and hone your skills.

Essential Duties:

• Assists in the food preparation for the assigned station including; pantry, broiler/grill or sauté.
• Prepares and cooks ordered items during restaurant service according to Chef’s specifications.
• Inspects all stations in Kitchen at the end of each shift to make sure they are all broken down and cleaned to sanitation standards.
• Ensures proper food storage methods, labeling, rotation and temperature controls for all food items.
• Ensures proper portion control and proper plating presentations.
• Cleans and sanitizes workstation work station and equipment.
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes and smells.
• Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms.
• Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
• Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.

Environment/Noise:

• Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather.
• Noise level is moderate.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

Additional Details:

• Full-Time hourly.
