Big Woods Franklin is looking for a dependable, hardworking team member to join our kitchen as a blended Cook and Dishwasher. This hybrid role is essential to keeping our kitchen running smoothly-prepping and cooking food during service and ensuring a clean, organized workspace before, during and after shifts. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in both cleanliness and cooking, we’d love to meet you!

Key Responsibilities

Cooking Duties:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
• Assist with food prep (chopping, portioning, marinating, etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep and cook stations.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Communicate with kitchen team to ensure timely service.
  
  

Dishwasher Duties

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of dish area and kitchen floors.
• Take out trash and recyclables regularly.
• Assist with closing duties including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing.
  
  

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a line cook, prep cook, or dishwasher is a plus but not required—willing to train the right person.
• Ability to multitask and switch between roles as needed.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
