Job description

The Timbers Assisted Living in Holts Summit Missouri, currently has an opening for a Dietary Manager. This position is a working manager position. Along with working as a chef preparing and serving meals in our senior living facility, the Dietary Manager ensures the establishment and efficient operations of Food and Nutrition Services to ensure the highest quality of menu options, meal quality, safe food preparation and storage, and enforcement of required sanitary guidelines. Manages overall food service administrative duties that include resource allocation, full food service operations, dining room management, staff training, budgetary soundness and regulatory compliance. Delivers a quality and creative restaurant-style dining experience to all residents and guests within corporate guidelines.

Qualifications include:

  • Currently recognized as ServSafe Certified by the American National Standards Institute.
  • Three years of culinary experience in institutional food service management with at least one year in a supervisory role.
  • Experienced as a Lead Cook or Chef.
  • Experience in training food service staff in food processing and storage, personal safety, personal hygiene, sanitary handling of food, equipment and overall kitchen and dining premises.
  • Successful history in managing a corporate food service budget.
  • Proficiency with software programs including Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and data-driven applications.

Preference given to applicants with ServSafe and CDM.
