Job summary

Bethany of the Northwest in Everett, WA seeks a Cook and Dietary Aide to prepare nutritious meals for residents at Silver Crest Assisted Living. A Washington State Food Handler’s permit is required. The role offers a supportive, mission-driven team and a focus on community care.

Schedule includes Cook on Friday and Saturday 11:30am–6:30pm; Dietary Aide on Tue/Wed 6:30am–2:30pm (32 hours). Pay ranges from $21 to $22 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must have the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Must be able to work well with residents, staff and support agencies.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to preparation of food.
• Coordinate Dietary Services with other departments as necessary.
• Assure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Assist in placing orders, taking inventory and other relative duties.
• Assist in developing methods of determining quality and quantity of food served.
• Report all accidents/incidents as established by policy.
