Proof Of The Pudding in Allen, Texas is seeking a seasonal/part-time Prep Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare and cook items that meet high taste and presentation standards for a variety of events.

Responsibilities include setting up and sanitizing stations, following lead lists, preparing stocks and simple dishes, and helping maintain food safety. Prior experience in catering or restaurants is a plus; ServSafe certification is valued.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of kitchen experience; catering experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain training.

Responsibilities

• Set up and sanitize workstations.
• Follow prep lists created by lead culinary.
• Prepare stock and ingredients for cooking.
• Cook simple dishes as directed by the Executive Chef.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper food storage.
• Assist chefs and monitor food temperatures.
• Support on game-day food service.
• Ensure safety and sanitation across kitchen areas.

This position is responsible for preparing and cooking food items that result in high quality of taste and appearance to satisfy guests and maximize food revenues.This is seasonal/part-time work as business needs are dictated by athletic eventsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSetting up and sanitizing workstations.Following prep lists that are created by lead culinary.Measuring ingredients, and seasonings.Preparing cooking ingredients such as soup stock (HOT FOODS) to be used in the cooking process.Preparing simple dishes as directed by the Executive Chef.Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible.Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise.Supervising food and cooling room temperatures.Accepting or rejecting ingredients from suppliers.Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen.Maintaining the highest level of food quality with your culinary team.Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen/food service areas.Running food on game-days.Performs other related duties as required.QUALIFICATIONSEducation and/or Experience:1+ year of experience working in a kitchen, experience in catering is preferred.High School diploma or equivalent preferred.ServSafe certified or is available to receive training.
