You will follow planned menus, ensure quality, taste, and presentation, and maintain safety standards while providing friendly, professional service to residents and staff. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior cooking or food-preparation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook or food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate with occupants, staff, and leadership.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies compliance.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Possess sanitation and safety course knowledge may be required.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as per state law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering excellent service.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
