The new building will feature 100 senior apartments, including independent and assisted living units, along with a memory care neighborhood on the first floor with a patio courtyard.

Position: Cook/Chef

We are looking for a Cook/Chef to join our Assisted Living team at The Pillars of Lakeville. This role involves preparing and cooking meals using standardized recipes to meet high culinary standards. The focus is on plating food attractively to entice our residents in our senior living community in Lakeville, MN.

This flexible schedule position includes:

• Casual/on-call shifts, filling in for scheduled and last-minute needs
• Days and early evenings
• Weekends as needed

Responsibilities:

• Handle and prepare food safely, following policies and safety standards
• Ensure timely meal production and service to residents
• Set up line service
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas after each use
• Assist with special events
• Support Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• ServSafe certification or must obtain within 90 days of start
• Basic math skills and familiarity with Microsoft applications
• Good problem-solving and time management skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications:

• Vocational/technical training or degree
• High School Diploma/GED
• Experience in a similar culinary environment
• Scratch cooking experience

Compensation:

Pay ranges from $20.68 to $28.68 per hour, based on skills, experience, education, and market conditions. We prioritize pay equity and internal fairness. Sign-on bonuses may apply, as per current policies.
