Job description

Carver Ridge, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is looking for a Chef-Cook to join our growing team. Located just outside downtown Carver, Minnesota, Carver Ridge Senior Living offers Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care services in a 70-unit apartment-style community. We pride ourselves on stable leadership and a cheerful staff, and have been voted Best in Senior Living in 2021 and 2022.

Shifts Available: On-Call/Casual

Wage: $17.50-$22.50

Are you compassionate and passionate about enriching the lives of seniors? Join us and help seniors Age Magnificently! As a Cook/Chef, you will prepare food according to dietary specifications, facility procedures, and sanitation regulations. Responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing and serving meals based on menus, diet plans, and recipes.
  2. Ensuring cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  3. Checking trays for accuracy and dietary requirements.
  4. Proper storage of food and supplies.
  5. Reviewing and processing diet changes and maintaining menus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
  • Ability to relate professionally and positively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Advanced computer skills, including email use.
