Boden Apple Valley, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is looking for a Part Time Cook/Chef to join our growing team!

Boden Apple Valley Senior Living opened in July 2022 in Apple Valley, MN, located right off 155th Street across from Target. We help seniors Age Magnificently in our 64-unit, apartment-style community offering Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care services. Our community was voted Readers' Best Assisted Living in 2023! Join us today!

Schedule: Every other weekend

Cook/Chef Wage: $17.50 - $22.50, based on experience

Are you compassionate and passionate about enriching lives? If so, we want you to join our team and help seniors Age Magnificently. As a Cook/Chef, you'll become part of our family and impact the lives of our residents living in a Lifespark Senior Living Community.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing food according to resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations. Duties include:

  1. Preparing and serving food and meals according to planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
  2. Assisting in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, and utensils.
  3. Checking trays for menu and diet requirements, preferences, and accuracy.
  4. Ensuring proper storage of food and supplies.
  5. Reviewing and processing diet changes and maintaining menus accordingly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a senior living setting (preferred)
  • Ability to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, families, and staff
