Job summary

HMSHost in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled Cook CD to prepare cooked foods across Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs, while communicating ticket times and issues to the manager to ensure quality service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Requires a minimum of 3 years of closely related cooking experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment.
• Requires knowledge of sauces, soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares, seasons, cooks, tastes, carves and serves food items including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts.
• Estimates food requirements and checks production to plan production needs.
• Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment; adheres to HACCP standards.
• Operates kitchen equipment and handles ingredients safely and efficiently.
• Stocks, dates, rotates, and checks temperature of product.
