Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions is seeking a talented, classically trained Cook to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility. You will prepare and portion meals, follow standardized recipes, and ensure attractive presentation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

In addition to culinary excellence, you will support the Dietary Manager, maintain strict sanitation, manage inventory, and assist with event catering. PTO and insurance benefits are provided for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Experienced in high-volume culinary operations.
• Able to follow standardized recipes for multiple meals.
• Strong focus on plating and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following recipes.
• Plate and garnish to enhance presentation.
• Support Dietary Manager in their absence to maintain meal prep continuity.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the kitchen and on equipment.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock, assist with purchasing, and contribute to recipe development.
• Handle last-minute requests for events and facility activities.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
