As a Cook/Baker, you will prepare a variety of food for patients, caregivers, and visitors to ensure they have the energy they need to get through their days, no matter how hectic or demanding. This role offers a unique way to enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience and make a difference in the lives of everyone you meet.

Work Hours: Days from 10:30AM – 7:00PM or 11:00AM – 7:30PM, with every other weekend and holiday requirements.

A caregiver in this position will:

• Review menu and special orders to determine types and quantities of food items to be prepared.
• Follow standardized recipes in preparation of all foods.
• Plan cooking schedule with supervisor and/or dietitian to ensure food will be ready at specified times.
• Confer with dietitians regarding modified diet preparation and use of leftovers.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines in storage, handling, preparation of food, and sanitation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Two years of cooking experience with a variety of menu items
• Knowledge of proper food handling, preparation, and storage

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of a formal training program for cooks or three years of related experience
• Culinary Certification Program

Physical Requirements:

• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds

• Exposure to cleaning chemicals
