Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions in Alpine Valley is seeking a skilled Cook for a nursing facility. You will prepare, portion, and cook nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes, ensuring quality and consistency.

Duties include plating, sanitation, inventory management, and supporting the Dietary Manager in their absence. This role requires flexibility to work every other weekend in a high-volume kitchen and provides benefits for full-time staff.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
