Job summary

The Village of St. Edward in Wadsworth, OH is hiring a Cook for our Assisted Living/Memory Care Facility. This 40‑hour weekly role runs 6am–2:30pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

You will prepare meals from scratch, manage prep and inventory, and ensure compliance with state regulations. Prior Nursing Home/Hospital cooking experience and ServSafe certification are preferred. • Able to measure solids and liquids according to recipe specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals from scratch and keep accurate inventory control.
• In accordance with state regulations, handle all aspects of food preparation (prep, cooking, baking, slicing, roasting).

SUMMARY OF POSITION

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Cook is responsible for all aspects of food preparation including prep, cooking, baking, slicing, roasting, etc. in accordance with state regulations. Will prepare meals from scratch and keep accurate inventory control.

Requirements:

• High School education or equivalent (Strong English and Math background needed).
• One (1) year experience in Nursing Home/Hospital type setting as a cook preferred
• Servsafe required or obtained when hired
• Must have reliable transportation
