The Village of St. Edward located in Wadsworth, OH, is seeking a Resident Assistant/STNA for the 3pm–11:30pm shift (32 hours per week). The role involves personal care duties for residents in an Assisted Living/Memory Care setting, with duties delegated by a nurse.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Resident Assistant/STNA Caregiver provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.

Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent
• Ohio State Tested Certified Nursing Assistant STNA (if hired as a STNA)
• Experience within assisted living or memory care facility preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and halls.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
• Required to make independent decisions.
• Required to assist in response to emergency situations.
