Job summary

Legends is seeking a part-time Cook 2 to prepare and plate menu items in a fast-paced kitchen. You will ensure all dishes meet specifications and safety standards while working with a team to deliver timely service.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of Line Cook experience, strong knowledge of cooking techniques, and a ServSafe or equivalent certification. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume restaurant, event venue, or similar setting.
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety procedures.
• Ability to read prep lists, menus, recipes, and signage in English.
• ServSafe or other food handler certification required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and plate menu items to recipe specifications in a timely and consistent manner.
• Ensure food is handled, prepared, and stored per safety guidelines.
• Set up and break down assigned station; prep ingredients and maintain cleanliness.
• Follow FIFO protocols when handling and storing food products.
• Label and date all items upon receiving and during storage.
• Maintain an organized, sanitary kitchen environment.
