Location Description

Located within the Orlando International Airport campus, the JetBlue Lodge is a 200-room full-service lodging facility built to complement its neighboring facility, the JetBlue Training Center. It features approximately 1,000 square feet of meeting space, a high-end café-style eatery, bar/lounge, grab & go options, and various outdoor recreational facilities to encourage interaction amongst its guests.

The Lodge will host JetBlue’s new-hire orientation and training, ongoing pilot, crew, and flight attendant training, traditional pilot and crew overnights, JetBlue vendors and partners, and JetBlue executives. Its facilities serve two main purposes:

  1. To provide four-star lodging and service to these JetBlue constituents.
  2. To serve as an extension of the training and culture that JetBlue aims to deliver within its Training Center.

As the “Living Room” for the broader JetBlue Training Campus, the lodge will be a place for guests to congregate, communicate, and socialize, reflecting JetBlue’s style, culture, and messaging throughout the campus.


Overview

We are looking for someone passionate about the culinary arts to join our culinary team. This individual must be creative, motivated, and eager to grow their talents in the kitchen!

Successful candidates will have previous experience in a professional kitchen environment, with a strong desire to learn, develop skills, and collaborate with culinary leadership to create menus that reflect seasonal availability and the restaurant’s concept.

The Cook assists the culinary leadership team in food production and fabrication for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining.

Your Role includes:

  • Developing knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures (grill, sauté, fry)
  • Using knives and kitchen equipment
  • Reading and recreating recipes
  • Maintaining consistency in food preparation
  • Minimizing food waste through cross-utilization
  • Working with a world-class culinary team
  • Creating workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment
  • Preparing ingredients (chopping, peeling vegetables, cutting meat)
  • Keeping the kitchen environment sanitized and orderly
  • Proper storage of food and items
  • Ensuring ingredient quality
