Job summary

Northgate Care Center is seeking a reliable Cook for 2nd shift to prepare meals for residents in a skilled nursing setting. You will follow dietary requirements, ensure food and equipment safety, and help maintain a high standard of dining experiences for residents.

We value teamwork and a caring approach, with opportunities for growth within a supportive environment. Shift is 11:30am–6:30pm, every other weekend, on-site at the care center.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Prior skilled nursing foodservice experience preferred.
• Willing to invest in the right candidate.

Responsibilities

As a Cook you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day. Your work ensures our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Northgate Care Center by preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance with their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

Qualifications

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have: a minimum of a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable, but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
