Job summary

Heritage Care & Rehabilitation Center is hiring a Cook for day or evening shifts on a part-time basis to join a friendly and supportive team.

You will prepare meals, ensure dietary needs are met, and maintain food safety standards while delivering a pleasant dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience preferable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and ensure residents receive appropriate food items for each meal according to dietary needs.
• Record temperatures to ensure food safety and follow recipes for large-volume cooking.
• Provide residents with a pleasant and safe dining experience through knowledge, skills, and attention to detail.

As a Cook you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Heritage Care & Rehabilitation Center by preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
