Job summary

Westview Care Center is seeking a Part-Time Day Cook/Dietary Aide (PRN Cook) to join our friendly Skilled Nursing team. You will prepare meals for residents, following dietary needs and recipes, and contribute to daily dining experiences.

This role offers opportunities to grow, competitive wages, and a supportive environment focused on high-quality food service. Previous SNF foodservice experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 10th grade education.
• Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable, but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents according to dietary needs and recipes.
• Ensure food quality and safety by recording temperatures.
• Serve meals and maintain clean, sanitary kitchen and dining areas.

Responsibilities

As a Cook you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day. Your work ensures our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Westview Care Center by preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.
