Job summary

Heritage Care & Rehabilitation Center in Mason City, IA seeks a part-time Cook to join our friendly dietary team. Day or Evening shifts available. You will prepare meals that meet residents' dietary needs and safety standards, under the supervision of our kitchen staff.

Your duties include following recipes for large-volume meals, recording temperatures, and ensuring high quality food service. A 10th grade education is required, with Skilled Nursing foodservice experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education required.
• Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

As a Cook you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensures residents receive a high standard of food quality, preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance with their dietary needs, ensuring safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

Qualifications

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
