IHOP Cooks are responsible for the preparation and cooking of food products accurately and with minimal waste. Duties include learning and applying all IHOP-specialized galley terminology, plating, menu items, and procedures according to company standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintaining a sanitized and well-organized kitchen.
  2. Preparing workstations for cooking.
  3. Preparing and maintaining kitchen equipment.
  4. Checking the quality of ingredients.
  5. Preparing cooking ingredients using various techniques.
  6. Cooking food using various culinary techniques.
  7. Arranging food and ensuring appealing presentation.
  8. Managing food storage, stock, and ingredient orders.
Job Requirements
  • Must have prior experience as a cook.
  • Must be skilled in operating kitchen equipment.
  • Must be skilled in various cooking techniques.
  • Must know and follow sanitation procedures.
  • Must showcase teamwork and communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate great organizational skills.
  • Must be able to multitask and act quickly.

The position requires standing for up to 8 hours, lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds, and full mobility of hands and arms for repetitive tasks. Duties necessary for restaurant operations as assigned by the supervisor, following governmental and company policies, are also required.
