Job summary

Woodbury Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents while prioritizing customer service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities include preparing diverse items for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and special events; following recipes; potential grill station duties; and punctual, dependable attendance.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related cooking/food service experience preferred.

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and/or cold food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.
• Read and follow basic recipes or product directions for preparing various items.
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station.
• Attends work on time for scheduled shifts with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts depending on business needs.

Woodbury Heights, A Nursing and Rehabilitation facility is looking to rise to new Heights. Our mission is to become the premier provider of Nursing and Rehabilitation in Nassau County. We are looking for talented Cook to help us achieve this goal. Must be a team player with the ability to work hard and multitask. In this position you will prepare and create nutritious dishes for our residents while putting customer service at the heart of everything you do. Your passion for food and warm smile will make a positive impact and brighten the day of those you serve.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods, may include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.

• Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items

• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station

• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity

• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
