Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Cook for Adelphi Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The role involves preparing and cooking meals per recipes, plating attractive dishes, and supporting the Dietary Manager when needed.

The position requires maintaining high kitchen sanitation, assisting with inventory and events, and availability to work every other weekend. Full-time benefits including PTO and health insurance are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing meals according to standardized recipes.
• Ability to plate and present meals attractively.
• Maintain high kitchen sanitation standards and equipment cleanliness.
• Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and recipe management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and cook a variety of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following recipes.
• Plate and garnish cooked items for attractive presentation.
• Serve as liaison for Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure ongoing meal prep and delivery.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation before and after service and clean equipment.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock, assist with purchasing, and support recipe development.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
