Job summary

Paradigm Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our growing team in a skilled nursing facility. You will clean and prep food, cook to orders, and coordinate with the food service staff to ensure residents receive meals per their diets and orders.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• 2+ years’ experience as a cook in a restaurant or institution.
• Food Handler certification pursuant to state requirements; ServeSafe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean food preparation areas, kitchen, dishes and equipment.
• Clean other areas of the facility as directed.
• Cook foods as directed and in compliance with laws, regulations and facility policies.
• Coordinate activities with food service staff.
• Cut cooked or raw foods as directed.
• Prepare foods for cooking and serving.
• Serve food as directed.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory of food, beverages and supplies.
• Ensure food provided to residents aligns with orders or diet instructions.
• Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, staff and supervisors.
