Job summary

The Goddard School - Spring 3 Harmony is seeking a kitchen aide to support meal preparation for preschool students. You will prepare fresh fruit and vegetables, and assist with serving breakfast and lunch across classrooms, including snacks each day.

You will help plan monthly lunch and snack menus, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and manage inventory while collaborating with staff in a cheerful, child-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for 150 children plus is a must.

Responsibilities

• Preparing fresh fruit, vegetables, and other products.
• Serving breakfast, cooking and serving lunch for all classrooms; serving a morning and afternoon snack.
• Writing and preparing monthly lunch and snack menus.
• Cleaning and washing prep table, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning and organizing the prep fridge and pantry.
• Rinsing kitchen equipment and cutting boards.
• Maintaining overall cleanliness of the kitchen and pantry.
• Budgeting, managing, and ordering inventory.
• Assisting in other areas as needed assigned by management.
• And most importantly... having fun! You are working in a preschool!

Compensation

New Cooks generally earn between $15 and $17 an hour depending on professional experience.
