Job summary

The Goddard School in Houston, TX is seeking a friendly Cook to support daily meal service for preschool students. You will prepare fresh fruit and vegetables, assist with menu planning, and ensure kitchen cleanliness.

Responsibilities include cooking for 150+ children, budgeting and inventory, and helping with training and safety compliance. This role offers Monday–Friday hours, competitive compensation, and room to grow within a welcoming team.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for 150 children plus is a must.

Responsibilities

• Preparing fresh fruit, vegetables, and other products
• Serving breakfast, cooking and serving lunch for all classrooms; serving a morning and afternoon snack
• Writing and preparing monthly lunch and snack menus
• Cleaning and washing prep table, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning and organizing the prep fridge and pantry
• Rinsing kitchen equipment and cutting boards
• Maintaining overall cleanliness of the kitchen and pantry
• Budgeting, managing, and ordering inventory
• Assisting in other areas as needed assigned by management
• And most importantly... having fun! You are working in a preschool!

New Cooks generally earn between $15 and $17 an hour depending on professional experience.
