Job summary

Quest Food Management Services is seeking a Cook I for a Monday–Friday 6am–2pm shift in Park Ridge, IL. This role offers no nights, weekends, or holidays, aligning with a school schedule.

You will prepare menu items, support day-to-day kitchen operations, and ensure food safety compliance in a cafeteria setting. Responsibilities include assisting in cold prep, salad and grab-and-go production, receiving deliveries, and serving on the hot line.

Qualifications

• Experience in a cafeteria or food-service environment preferred.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety guidelines.

• Assist in day-to-day kitchen operations, bulk prep, catering prep, receiving and cleaning.
• Assist customers and maintain the line in a professional manner.
• Assist in cold prep, salad and grab & go production with recipes.
• Serve food on the hot line and follow HACCP guidelines.
• Receive and put away all kitchen deliveries.

Position Summary

Prepares and presents menu items during service of the cafeteria to Quest standards. Duties may include bulk preparation, catering prep, product receiving and cleaning. Assists customers and maintains line in a consistent and professional manner. As a Cook I, I will assist in cold prep, salad and grab & go production with recipes. Expected to serve food on the hot line. Follow all HACCP and food safety guidelines. Receives and puts away all kitchen deliveries.
