Job summary

Tutto Italia Ristorante in Orlando is seeking an experienced full-time Cook to join Delaware North’s Patina Group. You will prepare food to quality standards, operate kitchen equipment, and uphold all health codes and sanitation regulations.

The opportunity

Delaware North’s Patina Group is hiring an experienced a full-time Cook to join our team at Tutto Italia in Tutto Italia. You will be preparing food, adhering to quality standards, operating kitchen equipment, and upholding all health codes and sanitation regulations.

Pay

$21.45 – $25.20 / hour

What will you do?

• Prepare food to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures, ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained, food is stored correctly, the freshness and quality of all menu items, and packages all products to proper specifications
• Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
• Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory in accordance with guidelines

More about you

• Must be fluent in basic English reading and conversation
• Spanish and Italian speaking is a plus
• At least1 year of previous experience in a back-of-the-house foodservice position
• Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
• Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements
• No high school diploma or GED required
• Must have knife skills not limited being able to (brunoise, julienne, etc)
• Must have knowledge of Italian food product
• Must have knowledge of food equipment (robo coupe, buffalo chopper, steam kettle, combi-oven)
• Must have prior cooking experience minimum of 5 years in a high volume, fast-paced Italian or Mediterranean restaurants
• No high school diploma or GED required
• Must have standard food safety knowledge (temperature danger zone, FIFO)
• Must be able to work in extreme temperature conditions (Hot oven, cold prep kitchen)

Physical requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more, reach up to seven feet, bend, and squat
• Standing and walking for the entire length of shift in moderate to high noise levels
• Manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids and operate kitchen equipment
• Exposed to variable temperatures
