Grandview Healthcare Center in Oelwein, IA is seeking a Cook to join our friendly dining team. You will prepare meals for residents, ensuring each plate meets dietary needs and portion guidelines.

You will monitor temperatures, follow recipes for large-volume service, and uphold food safety and kitchen cleanliness in a busy environment.

Prior Skilled Nursing foodservice is preferred; we will invest in the right candidate with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing foodservice preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents following dietary needs and portion guidelines.
• Record temperatures and ensure food safety and kitchen cleanliness.

As a Cook you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Grandview Healthcare Center by preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
