Valley Vue Care Center is seeking a PRN Cook to join our friendly, caring, and supportive team in a Skilled Nursing environment. You will prepare meals, follow dietary guidelines, and help ensure residents receive high-quality food with safety practices in place.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience preferred, but willingness to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion meals according to dietary needs and menus.
• Ensure food safety by recording temperatures and following recipes for large volumes.
• Maintain high quality and accuracy of meals; monitor serving times.
• Assist residents to ensure a pleasant and safe dining experience.

As a Cook you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Valley Vue Care Center by preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
