Job summary

Focus Health Network, LLC is seeking a compassionate cook for our nursing home kitchen to prepare nutritious, home-style meals for residents. The role involves following standardized recipes, portioning accurately, and ensuring meals are served at the correct temperature.

The position offers full-time or part-time hours with alternating weekends and holidays. Prior ServSafe knowledge is preferred, with potential for certification after hire.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

NOW HIRING A COMPASSIONATE COOK FOR OUR NURSING HOME KITCHEN

We're looking for a dedicated and caring cook to join our friendly team in creating nutritious, home-style meals for our wonderful residents.

Shift Available:

10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Full-time and Part-time positions available
Includes alternating weekends and holidays.

Cook Key Duties

• Prepares food as assigned according to standardized recipes to provide residentwith consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintain standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food- handling procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

Cook Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.
• Ability to lift/carry a maximum of fifty pounds, push/pull a maximum of fifty pounds, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
