Job summary

The Allure Group in Brooklyn, NY is hiring a Cook for our Skilled Nursing Facility. You will prepare meals according to menu and serve counts, while complying with health, safety, and sanitation standards.

You will monitor temperatures, respect dietary restrictions, and assist nursing services with diet changes as needed. Strong applicants have a high school diploma, knowledge of dietary procedures, and a Food Handler certification; hospital or SNF cooking experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in quantities according to the menu, recipe, and number of persons to be served
• Comply with state, federal, and all other applicable health care, safety, and sanitation standards
• Monitor and record temperatures in refrigerators and freezers
• Inspect special dietary restrictions of residents to assure that the correct diet is served to residents
• Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services
• Ensure that food and supplies for meals are readily available
• Assist in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc. as necessary

Cook Responsibilities
