Bedford Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, part of The Allure Group, seeks a Cook to join our skilled nursing facility in Brooklyn, NY. You will prepare meals according to menus, maintain sanitation standards, and ensure dietary restrictions are correctly served to residents.

Bedford Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for a Cook to join the team at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Brooklyn, NY!

Cook Responsibilities

• Prepare food in quantities according to the menu, recipe, and number of persons to be served
• Comply with state, federal, and all other applicable health care, safety, and sanitation standards
• Monitor and record temperatures in refrigerators and freezers
• Inspect special dietary restrictions of residents to assure that the correct diet is served to residents
• Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services
• Ensure that food and supplies for meals are readily available
• Assist in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc. as necessary

Cook Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Knowledge of dietary procedures
• COVID-19 Vaccination

Preferred

• At least one-year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or another related medical facility
