  • Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility offering the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care, including 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.

Responsibilities

Responsible for preparing food items under acceptable conditions as outlined under state and local regulatory standards and guidelines. Follow all established policies and procedures, and may be directed by the Executive Chef and/or Director of Food and Nutrition Services to ensure quality food services at all times.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Considerable knowledge of sanitation regulations and practices as applied to institutional kitchens.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs or more and stand for long periods.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-year experience in institutional food handling.
  • Culinary school graduate.
