Job summary

Parkview Estates in Kennewick, WA is seeking a full-time cook to prepare and serve meals for residents and oversee foodservice operations.

You will follow a menu cycle, maintain a clean and safe kitchen, and ensure compliance with sanitation codes while keeping residents' preferences in mind. The role requires at least one year of cooking experience and Health requirements compliance.

Qualifications

• Typical candidates have one year of cooking experience.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Can obtain Food Handler's card and meet health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food to residents within the scheduled timeframe.
• Follow menu cycle and note substitutions.
• Clean and maintain a neat, safe kitchen and food service areas.
• Comply with state sanitation codes.
• Maintain inventory, place food orders and restock items.
• Ensure resident food preferences are known and followed.

Full-Time/ 11 AM - 7 PM Thursday through Sunday.

- Must Have Experience -

As a cook, you will prepare and serve meals, oversee foodservice operation, and ensures adequate food and supplies are available.

You will:

• Prepare and serve food to residents within the scheduled timeframe.
• Follow menu cycle, noting changes or substitutions made on proper form
• Clean and maintains a neat, safe working environment, including the kitchen and food service areas
• Comply with state sanitation codes
• Maintain inventory control, places food orders, verifies that items are received appropriately, and restock appropriately
• Ensure that resident food preferences are known and followed

You Currently:

• Can obtain Food Handler's card. Meet all mandatory health requirements by State regulations
• Typical candidates have one year of cooking experience.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
